At the bay of Kissamos in the west side of Chania there is a complex of small islands and promontories of great beauty. The most beautiful areas are the Gramvousa island and the beach of Balos at Tigani Promontory.
Gramvousa is one of the most magical places in Crete. You will see an impressive geological phenomenon of land elevation by 6 to 9 meters above sea level. After guided tour you will have enough time to swim and to relax in one of the beautiful beaches.
Your voyage starts from the port of Kissamos, where after one hour sail you will arrive at the island of Imeri Gramvoussa. There you can visit the Venetian castle, which was built on the top of a steep rock and reckoned as one of the most impressive castles in Crete. The spectacular view, the marvellous landscapes and the legend of the pirate’s hidden treasure all these you will discover on Gramvoussa Island.
Last stop follows to the famous Blue Lagoon of Balos. This is a shallow and warm water lagoon with white sand which makes waters have a shiny jade-like colour.
