In this route we will explore the Central side of Crete following the paths of Cretan history where we will get to know the traditional way of life and learn everything about the production of the famous Cretan olive oil as well as Cretan Wines.
We will visit the shepherd’s house participating in the cheese production process and finally we will enjoy an amazing meal in a traditional tavern making ourselves Cretan sweets.
We will get to know rural Crete by watching the locals in their daily activities by visiting traditional villages.
Our first stop will be the Aposelemis dam where we will see up close the sunken village of SFENTYLI.
Then we will visit one of the best olive oil farm in the area and we can see how CRETAN OLIVE OIL is produced.
Then we will cross a beautiful path with an amazing view, gathering herbs, walking together with Cretan goats.
At the next stop we will enjoy Raki with local delicacies in a traditional village where we will have the opportunity to admire the architecture and see the way of life of the inhabitants.
Then we arrive at one of the best wineries in central Crete, where we will learn about the production process of Cretan wines by tasting them with local products.
Full of beautiful images, we proceed to the <shepherd’s house> where we will see animals and we participate in the production of Authentic cheese.
Then we will enjoy our meal in one of the most traditional taverns in the area making sweets which is a truly unique experience.
Finally full of images and experiences we will return to the hotel having in our luggage’s the taste of true unknown Crete
